What can I expect from counselling/psychotherapy with you?
You can expect a safe and non-judgemental space to talk about your struggles and challenges. In this space, you can be authentic and real, whatever that may look like. You can bring anything, a single situation that you need to address or a goal you want to achieve, or a more rooted issue that you are carrying for longer. You choose what to address in session and what happens in session is contracted and consented at all times.
Do you work with men?
Yes. I work with men who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the impact of past experiences on how they live and relate today. Many of the men I support come to therapy wanting to make sense of patterns that feel stuck, or to find different ways of responding to themselves and others.
What brings men to counselling?
Men come to counselling for many reasons. This may include relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, anger or frustration, feeling disconnected from themselves or others, or navigating life transitions. Some men seek therapy not because something is “wrong,” but because they want to better understand themselves and create more conscious, meaningful ways of relating and living.
What if I find it hard to talk about my feelings?
You don’t need to be good at talking about emotions to begin therapy. Many men find it difficult to put words to what they feel, especially if vulnerability hasn’t felt safe in the past. Counselling offers a space where awareness can develop gradually, at your own pace. Silence, reflection, and noticing what’s happening in the moment are all part of the therapeutic process.
Do you work with men affected by domestic or family violence?
Yes. I work with men who have been impacted by domestic and family violence in different ways — whether through direct experience, exposure, or recognising the impact of their own behaviours in relationships. Therapy provides a space to explore these experiences with honesty and care, to understand patterns, and to take responsibility where needed, while supporting meaningful and lasting change. Safety, accountability, and respect are central to this work.
How many sessions do I need?
You are the one who decides how many sessions you need.
When we explore struggles and patterns that are deeply rooted in the past, I believe that we deserve time and patience to address them. Likewise, lasting change and growth deserve time and patience.
Please take the time you need to grow and change.
Where do you offer your services?
At the moment I am offering on-line counselling/psychotherapy and supervision on Zoom.
I am planning to have my space for you to visit in 2026 in Deception Bay, QLD. So watch this space!
How do you manage confidentiality and my information?
Confidentiality: anything we talk about will stay between us. The only exceptions are in case you are not safe or someone else is not safe, especially if children are involved. Another exception is if my notes are legally subpoenaed. In these rare cases, I might need to disclose information to relevant parties. When possible, I commit to talk to you first if this happens.
Information storage: I am committed to store your information safely with no access from other parties.
