Working with men

I work with men who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the impact of past experiences on how they live and relate today. Many of the men I support come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand, or wanting to respond differently in their relationships and lives.

Men often carry unspoken experiences of shame, anger, grief, disconnection, or emotional isolation. These experiences are frequently shaped by early relationships, trauma, social expectations, and environments where vulnerability was not encouraged or felt unsafe.

I also work with men who have been impacted by domestic and family violence — whether through direct experience, exposure, or recognising their own use of harmful or controlling behaviours. Therapy can provide a space to explore these experiences with honesty and care, to take responsibility where needed, and to support meaningful change.

My work with men is trauma-informed and relational. Sessions focus on building awareness, emotional regulation, accountability, and the capacity to relate to self and others with greater clarity and care. Therapy is not about blame or judgement, but about understanding patterns and creating space for different choices.
